Golf Scramble

Harney Hospital Foundation is hosting a Golf Scramble Saturday, Aug. 19, at 9 a.m. at the Valley Golf Club in Hines. The scramble will include 1 net/1 gross, closest-to-the-pin contests (KPs), Mulligans, and more.

Teams will consist of four players. The registration fee is $400 per team. Scan the QR to register online. You can also register by emailing foundation@gmail.com, calling 541-573-8609, or stopping by the Foundation Office at Harney District Hospital. In-person registration is also available at the Valley Golf Club. The scramble is limited to 18 teams, so don’t delay!

Everyone is invited to join this exciting community event. If you aren’t a golfer, you can still participate. There will be a door prize, awards ceremony, Bunco tournament, silent auction, and a food truck alley. The Bunco tournament gets underway at 11 a.m. Afternoon entertainment will be provided by local band, Red Mabel.

Please call Foundation Manager Elisha Miller at 541-573-8609 if you are interested in donating items for the silent auction.

All raised funds will go toward a Stryker LUCAS Chest Compression System. This system will be an integral, lifesaving device for Harney District Hospital’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) staff, and a huge benefit to Harney County residents and visitors alike.

EMS crew members are often more than 30 miles from Burns, on calls that frequently require CPR. Staff can quickly become exhausted while performing continuous chest compressions as the ambulance makes the long trek back to the hospital, resulting in decreased effectiveness. This automated CPR system would ensure patients receive more effective, consistent chest compressions. Having an automated CPR system in place will also free up more hands and allow for more efficient care and transport of patients.
